Japanese A1 (Starters)

The course Japanese A1 (Starters) is for absolute beginners who want to start learning Japanese. Learning through many dialogues based on real life situations, you will be able to have simple conversations such as greetings and self-introductions. This course introduces basic Japanese characters  (hiragana and katakana) so that you can read and write simple words. It also covers the very basic sentence structure of Japanese.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:
・ Read hiragana and katakana
・ Have simple daily conversations
・ Ask and answer simple questions

Japanese A2
(Elementary)

This course encompasses basic Japanese comprehension. It introduces very simple kanji while ensuring that you can read and write hiragana and katakana. By listening to and speaking simple conversations in various situations, you will learn how to have short yet practical conversations. From the second half of the course, we will encourage you to draw from your own interests, and talk about topics of your choice.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:
・ Read and write hiragana and katakana, and read very simple kanji.
・ Have short conversations in various situations
・ Have a small talk about a free topic

Japanese A2 plus
(Elementary+)

 This course extends to more practical skills that help you while travelling to Japan. It introduces more kanji so that you can read some signboards and restaurant menus etc. on your trip. By learning the basic grammar and typical expressions, you will be able to show your ideas more clearly. You will also learn some ambiguous expressions and language idioms. There will be conversation practice time during each lesson in order to improve your speaking skills.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:
・ Read and write practical information that is useful for travel
・ Verbalise your ideas clearly through basic Japanese grammar and simple expressions
・ Have practical conversations during your trip to Japan
